Q) DO I NEED TO BRING THE BOOKING CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO THE CINEMA?
The booking confirmation can act as your ticket. Show this email on your smartphone to the usher to scan the barcode. Alternatively, please print out the confirmation, bring it with you to the cinema, and present it to the usher to scan the barcode for admittance, or show this email on your smartphone. You can pick up your ticket(s) from one of the ticket pick up machines located in the cinema foyer or at the box office. If you booked using a Showcase Gift Card, you will need to bring the card in to the cinema and collect your tickets at the box office. If you booked using a Showcase eGift Card, either bring this print out to the cinema and present it to the usher to scan OR bring a print out of the eGift Card for scanning at the box office. If you booked by credit card you can pick up your ticket(s) from the ATMs located in the cinema foyer or at the box office. You must bring the credit card used for this transaction with you to pick up your ticket(s) - simply press collect tickets and insert the card into the ATM when prompted.
Please note: If you have purchased one or more Student tickets, each ticket holder will need valid individual, photographic student identification, which will be checked before entering the film.
Please note that an administration fee of 60p per person will be applied to all online ticket purchases.
Q) HOW CAN I PURCHASE BULK TICKETS OR RENT AN AUDITORIUM?

Q) HOW DO I BOOK TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Tickets are available 24 hours a day via the website, or on our telephone booking service by calling 0871 220 1000 (only 13p per minute from a BT landline, mobile and other providers may vary). To make your booking, have your credit or debit card information ready and follow the instructions provided.
Q) WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR TICKET PRICES?
Ticket prices for each cinema can be found by clicking on the ‘Cinemas’ tab on the website or by clicking here. From here you can select which cinema you would like to visit and then click ‘Cinema Info’ for general and pricing information.
Q) UP TO WHAT AGE CAN I BUY A CHILD TICKET?
Children up to and including the age of 14 can be admitted with a child ticket.
Q) HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO PURCHASE A TICKET VIA WEBSITE?
Please note that ticket purchasers need to be a minimum of 13 years of age

Q) WHEN WILL FILM TIMES BE AVAILABLE FOR THE NEXT WEEK?
Cinema show times are usually posted on the website on Monday evening, for the following Friday – Thursday. You can use the handy film time look up on the homepage to view what is showing at your preferred location.
Q) WHAT DO THE FILM CERTIFICATES MEAN?
Due to legal requirements, we need to ensure that all guests are of the required legal age to watch a film, as per the certificates below.As a result, you may need valid photo identification with you showing your date of birth.
U – Universal: It is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child. But a ‘U’ film should be suitable for audiences aged four years and over.‘U’ films should be set within a positive moral framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror.
PG - Parental Guidance: General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children. Unaccompanied children of any age may watch. A ‘PG’ film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.
(12A) - No one younger than 12 may see a ‘12A’ film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult, and films classified‘12A’ are not recommended for a child below 12. An adult may take a younger child if, in their judgement, the film is suitable for that particular child. In such circumstances, responsibility for allowing a child under 12 to view lies with the accompanying adult.
(15) - No-one younger than 15 may see a '15' film in a cinema.
(18) - No-one younger than 18 may see an '18' film in a cinema.

Showcase will only grant admission to films in accordance with the requirements of the British Board of Film Classification. One of those requirements is that we verify the age of any patron who appears as though he or she might be younger than the minimum permissible age for a particular film. Any patron who appears, in the opinion of our employee(s), that he or she might be below the minimum permissible age for film for which he or she wishes to purchase a ticket and/or gain admittance may be asked to provide photo identification proving that he or she is at least the minimum permissible age for such film. All photo identification must also include a date of birth. Examples of acceptable photo identification include passports, photo driving licences, student cards and school passes, ValidateUK cards, PASS-Scheme cards, Connexions cards, Prove-it Portman cards and citizen cards. Films at Showcase are usually updated on a Monday evening for the following 7 days. Certain advance screenings or Event Cinema shows may be available to book more than 7 days in advance.
Q) WHY ARE SOME FILMS NOT SHOWN IN ALL OF YOUR CINEMAS?
We endeavour to show a broad range of films, however it is not always possible to show all films at every cinema.
Q) HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHICH FILMS ARE SHOWING IN 3D?
Any film showing in the 3D format will have this format indicated in the title on the Now Showing or Coming Soon pages. For more information about 3D films, please click here
Q) CAN I WATCH A 3D FILM IF I WEAR NORMAL GLASSES?
Yes of course, simply place the 3D glasses over your normal glasses and enjoy the film.
Q) CAN I PURCHASE 3D GLASSES ONLINE?
Yes you can. When booking your 3D film online, the checkout process will allow you to select a ticket either with or without 3D glasses. These will be available for collection at the cinema on arrival. You can keep your 3D glasses to reuse again on another visit.
CINEMA ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:
Q) DO YOU ACCEPT THE CEA CARD?
Yes, all of our cinemas accept the CEA card. The card will be accepted on ticket purchases made at the box office only on presentation of a valid CEA card. Any guest who receives DLA (disability living allowance) is eligible to apply for a CEA card. This card will give their accompanying carer a free ticket. Q) DO YOU OFFER DISABLED PARKING?

Q) HOW DO I FIND OUT IF MY CINEMA HAS WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?
All of our cinemas are wheelchair accessible. Please ask a member of our team on arrival should you need any assistance during your visit.
SHOWCASE INSIDER MEMBERSHIP:
Q) WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING AND INSIDER?
As an Insider, members can advantage of a special members price of just £6.50. Simply present your card at the box office to purchase your ticket after 7pm on Sunday and all day Monday and Tuesday. A special members price of £8.50 is also charged for 3D films, with 3D glasses available for £1.50 per pair.
The Insider discount is also valid for presentations in our Directors Hall, XPlus, XLR and Gallery seating areas with members simply paying the surcharge over and above the regular stated admission price. Insider's are also eligible for great monthly offers at the concession stand! Log in to your Insider account to find out what great offer is available this month!
You will also be told about special Insider discounts available on selected advance previews and other special offers. Members can also participate in exclusive competitions to win great prizes as well as receiving regular news and gossip about upcoming releases and exclusive content.
BECOMING AN INSIDER MEMBER:
Q) HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO BECOME AN INSIDER?
Insider members need to be at least 16 years old when joining.
Q) HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BECOME AN INSIDER?
Nothing – it is absolutely FREE to become an Insider. No monthly subscription or hidden fees.
Q) WHERE DO I REGISTER FOR SHOWCASE INSIDER?
You can join now by clicking here and completing the simple registration form.
Q) HOW DO I GET MY INSIDER CARD
Once registered, your Insider card will be sent to your registered address you provided. A temporary pass will be emailed to you so you can start receiving Insider benefits straight away. Your Insider card will typically be delivered to the address provided within 15 working days of registration.
Q) DOES MY MEMBERSHIP EXPIRE?
No, Insider membership cards don’t hold an expiry date.
Q) CAN I SIGN TWO PEOPLE UP USING ONE EMAIL ADDRESS?
No, when signing up each member is required to enter a unique and valid email address
Q) WHY DIDN'T I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER ENROLLING?
If you have provided us with a valid email address and have not received an email from us, your email service provider might be blocking us as SPAM. Please add [email protected] to your contacts list and notify us via email.
USING MY INSIDER MEMBERSHIP CARD:
Q) WILL MY INSIDER CARD BE ACCEPTED AT ALL SHOWCASE CINEMAS?
Yes, you may use your Insider card at any Showcase or Showcase Cinema de Lux.
Q) CAN I GET MY INSIDER DISCOUNT ON BANK HOLIDAYS?
Yes, your Insider discount days do not exclude Bank Holidays.
Q) DO I NEED TO SHOW ID WHEN USING MY INSIDER CARD?
You will need to show valid ID when presenting your Insider card to attend certain events or redeem offers.
Q) CAN I USE MY INSIDER CARD WHEN BOOKING ONLINE?
Insider tickets are available for online purchase at all Showcase Cinemas and Showcase Cinema de Lux locations.
After purchasing your Insider ticket, either online or at the Box Office, you will not be permitted to make another Insider ticket purchase for 2 hours.
Please note: Insider tickets are not currently available via the mobile App. A 60p administration fee will apply per person for online ticket purchases.
Q) WHY CAN I NOT PURCHASE MULTIPLE INSIDER TICKETS WHEN PURCHASING ONLINE?
Currently when you purchase an Insider ticket you're requested to log in to your Insider account. This is so we can validate the purchase against a member. To purchase multiple tickets, at present we have no way of validating multiple ticket purchases against the Insider members you are purchasing them for. This is currently under development and will feature on the site in the near future.
Q) CAN I TRANSFER MY INSIDER CARD TO A FRIEND / FAMILY MEMBER TO USE?
Your Insider card is non-transferable. The discounted Insider admission price is available to the Insider card holder only.
Q) HOW DO I GET A NEW INSIDER CARD IF MINE IS LOST OR DAMAGED?
If your membership card is lost or damaged, please contact us via email at [email protected]. Please confirm the postal address that the replacement card is to be sent, and a new card will be delivered to your address within 15 working days.
ABOUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Q) WHY DO I NEED AN ONLINE PROFILE AND PASSWORD FOR THE INSIDER WEBSITE?
Your online profile must be up-to-date with correct information to receive certain offers and coupons that may be mailed. In case your card is lost or stolen, you may also log in to your account to alert us and request a new card.
Q) WHY DO YOU ASK FOR MY EMAIL ADDRESS?
Providing your email address allows you to receive Insider promotional information and be notified of exclusive special offers for members only. We do not sell or distribute any personal information or email data.
Q) HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM EMAILS?
You may remove your email from the Insider mailing list at any time. Simply click the link at the bottom of any Insider email that states 'Unsubscribe.' By unsubscribing, you will no longer receive updates, rewards or invitations from Insider. If for whatever reason you wish to receive Insider promotional emails once again, contact [email protected] to reactivate your profile.

We reserve the right to respectfully inspect all items, including but not limited to bags, rucksacks and holdalls, that our guests may decide to bring with them.
Q) CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD TO THE CINEMA?
We do not allow guests to bring hot food, alcoholic beverages and drinks in glass containers into our buildings. We reserve the right to refuse admission.
Q) CAN I WEAR MY FANCY DRESS OR COSTUMES TO THE CINEMA?
Showcase Cinemas does not permit masks, face paint, weapons, or any item that may make our guests feel uncomfortable or detract from others enjoying their movie going experience.
Our guests are welcome to come dressed in costume with movie related accessories however we reserve the right to respectfully inspect all items that our guests may decide to bring with them.

Q) CAN I TAKE MY BABY INTO THE CINEMA?
We welcome babies in our cinemas, however age restrictions do apply. Babies will only be admitted into U, PG and 12A certificates. We ask that you respect other guest’s enjoyment of the film, if your baby becomes distressed, please leave the auditorium. We do offer a selection of Baby Picture films every Thursday which are held in a special baby friendly environment. For more information click here
Q) HOW CAN I PURCHASE A STUDENT TICKET?
Students may purchase tickets at the box office or online. You will be asked to produce a valid photo student ID on entry to the film. In the event of a dispute, the manager’s decision is final.
Q) CAN I USE MY COMPLIMENTARY PASS OR TICKET TO ALL FILMS?
On some films, passes may be restricted and not accepted for a certain amount of time. Please ask at the box office on arrival if not sure. Insider and Meerkat Movies tickets are valid for all films.

The Director's Hall is an exclusive auditorium that offers extra-wide Ultra Leather seats and reserved seating, and access to the Director's Lounge, a great place for a cocktail or snack before or after the film. Q) WHAT IS IMAX?
Currently available at Showcase Cinema de Lux Bluewater, IMAX grabs your senses. Visually, there is no frame. The picture’s bigger, higher, wider than your field of view. You’re no longer at the window peeking out; you’re outside among the stars. And that sensation is intensified by the sound. It’s all around you and it’s real – so much so that the whole experience is visceral. You don’t just hear and see an IMAX movie. You feel it in your bones. Q) HOW DO I FIND OUT WHICH FILMS HAVE SUBTITLES?
Where you see ‘Subtitled’ that screening will feature subtitles throughout the film on the bottom of screen. This is provided to assist our deaf and hard of hearing guests. All of our cinemas are equipped with hearing assistance via a loop system for hard of hearing guests if required.
Q) HOW DO I FIND OUT WHICH FILMS HAVE AUDIO DESCRIPTION?
Where you see ‘Audio Description Available’, that screening will have a service to assist our visually impaired guests using headphones to describe the action on the screen provided via a loop system. Guests not requiring this service will not be affected and will still be able to view the film.
Q) ARE ADVANCE SCREENINGS THE FULL FILM?
Yes this will be the full film. An advance screening is simply an opportunity to see the film before the official release date.
