A Darker and Grittier retelling of the classic Batman mythos, the trilogy follows billionaire Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), haunted from witnessing his parents murdered as a child, in his quest to making himself a formidable vigilante crimefighter to save Gotham City from becoming a Wretched Hive of rampant crime and corruption. Along the way, he meets the familiar allies and foes, and realizes the unintended consequences his presence brings upon the citizens of Gotham.
