The Nottingham International Film Festival is proud to present Bikini Blue showing on Sunday October 8, 1.45pm plus a live Q&A after the screening with Director, Jarek Marszewski.
A tale of love and madness in the times of Cold War. In 1953, a quarter of a million Poles - traumatised by war and politics - find shelter and start a new life in Britain. For most of them it meant a journey to an unknown planet. Bikini Blue is a tale about the curse of a double life. Dora, a young English woman, and Eryk a Polish exile in Britain, are a married couple. Their marriage is torn by Eryk’s mental sickness and his rebounding past that he concealed from his wife.
This feature presentation includes the short animations MONEY TIME and I AM DYSLEXIC.
