A STAR IS BORN AT SHOWCASE CINEMAS NOTTINGHAM

UIP AND SHOWCASE CINEMAS TEAM-UP TO PROMOTE THE RUGRATS MOVIE

[DEDHAM, Mass., USA] Everybody’s favorite babies are bustin’ out of the TV set and onto the movie screen. Beginning on Friday, 26 March 1999, Showcase Cinemas will hold a circuit-wide series of promotions and contests to support the highly anticipated release of The Rugrats Movie. The Rugrats Movie finds the Pickles family facing the biggest adventure to happen to any household – the birth of a new baby. As Stu and Didi struggle with the changes associated with the arrival of baby Dylan (Dil), big brother Tommy and his pals decide the baby’s antics are cramping their style and head out on the biggest adventure of their lives – to take Dil back to the ‘hopsickle.’

In celebration of the opening weekend of The Rugrats Movie, Showcase Cinemas Manchester will feature window paintings, foyer displays and competitions. The cinema will hold a series of games and competitions throughout opening weekend. Moviegoers are encouraged to take part in the wordsearch, trivia contest, puzzles, scavenger hunt, "Chuckie/Angelica" look-a-like competitions and put-the-nappie-on-the-"Tommy"-doll competition. Contestants can win Rugrats merchandise, toys and vouchers to Waterstone’s and Alphabet Zoo. Exclusively at Showcase Cinemas, children can enter to win a Raleigh Ride 16 mini mountain bike.
